The program “Prestigious exporting enterprises” organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in recent years is one of the trade promotion activities of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, aiming to create favorable conditions for foreign partners to learn about. and trade promotion with Vietnamese businesses. The goal of this activity is to recognize the positive contributions of businesses in Vietnam’s export growth, and at the same time contribute to introducing and promoting Vietnam’s reputable exporters to domestic partners. out.
By 2020, the economic situation in the region and the world will continue to have rapid and complicated developments, especially the translation of Covid-19 has a profound impact on all aspects of socio-economic life. However, this is also the year to recognize the continued rise and efforts to overcome difficulties of the Vietnamese business community, under the close and right direction of the Government and related ministries and branches. Vietnam still maintains a steady growth momentum in import and export activities with the total import-export turnover reaching over 500 billion USD for the second consecutive year. We exported 281.5 billion USD, up 6.5% compared to 2019 and is one of the fastest exporting economies in the world in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby recording received 5 consecutive years of trade balance surplus.
With the aim of recognizing the positive contribution of Vietnamese export enterprises by 2020 in their efforts to overcome difficulties and improve their competitiveness in the international arena, the Ministry of Industry and Trade proposes to ministries, branches, and Chamber of Commerce. Vietnam Trade and Industry, Commodity Industry Associations, Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities shall coordinate to implement the program of selecting “Prestigious exporting enterprises in 2020”, specifically as follows:
1. To announce the 2020 “prestigious exporting enterprise” selection program to affiliated enterprises and guide enterprises to declare their application for selection according to regulations.
2. Deploying the selection according to the Regulation on Selection of Prestigious Exporting Enterprises issued together with Decision No. 911 / QD-BCT dated April 12, 2019 of the Minister of Industry and Trade; coordinate with customs, tax and environmental agencies to certify that at the time of consideration and selection of enterprises, they are not forced to stop carrying out the procedures for goods import and export, not to have tax arrears, or to violate environmental laws. Criteria for selection of minimum export turnover for each commodity group, from January 1, 2020, to December 31, 2020.
3. The results of selection and selection are submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (through the Import-Export Department) at the address: No. 54 Hai Ba Trung, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi by April 20, 2021. Selection results including: (i) Official dispatch to synthesize the list of enterprises meeting the criteria of the selected unit; (ii) The enterprise’s registration application bears the seal of the applicant; (iii) Customs, tax, environmental authority and other relevant documents. After the above time limit, the selection result sent to the Ministry of Industry and Trade is considered invalid.
In case an enterprise is found to violate Vietnamese laws; dissolution; losses; or to be warned by the authorities of the importing country, the competent authorities of Vietnam to handle violations, domestic and foreign partners to complain about the fulfillment of contractual obligations, on hygiene and safety. All food products, product quality, environmental violations, rules of origin, etc., enterprises will be removed from the list of “reputable exporters” in the year selected and not be selected in the following year.
The prestigious export enterprises announced by the Ministry of Industry and Trade will be supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in activities of trade promotion, market information, e-commerce as prescribed in Decision No. 910 / QD- MOIT dated April 12, 2019 of the Minister of Industry and Trade.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade highly appreciated the close coordination of the ministries, branches, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vietnam, the Commodity Industry Association, the Department of Industry and Trade of provinces and cities in the implementation of selection and propaganda. for the program “Prestigious exporting enterprises” of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in recent years, at the same time hope to continue to receive the support and close coordination of the concerned agencies and the increasing participation. The program of “reputable exporters” of the Ministry of Industry and Trade will contribute to further improving the image and reputation of the Vietnamese export business community.
